Aurora Reyes Flores was a Mexican artist and the first female representative of Mexican muralismo. At the age of 13 she attended the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria, later the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes until 1924, and had her first exhibition in 1925 at the Galer_xD860_ARS. In 1936 she became a member of the Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios, and in the same year she painted her first well-known mural, "Atentado a los Maestros Rurales" at the Centro Escolar Revoluci????In her lifetime she created a total of seven murals. In addition to painting, she was also a writer and received several awards for her poetry.
